Pneumoperitoneum is a pathological condition characterised by peculiar clinical and radiographic findings. It is infrequently observed in veterinary medicine, especially in cats. Here we report four cases of pneumoperitoneum in cats, describing the clinical presentation, diagnostic procedures, and medical and surgical therapeutic options. We also compare our data with the recent
veterinary literature.
